You deposited after the swap quote died — stop, then pick an exit
The Instant screen said expired, underpaid, or send more — and the wallet already shows a broadcast. That is a different problem from aborting before deposit. Money is on-chain. This post is the stop-and-sort checklist: what not to do in the next five minutes, what to save for support, and when a peer offer is the cleaner machine for the next trade.
At a glance
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Topic | Mid-funnel: Instant deposit after quote expiry / underpay / “send more” |
| Product | Domestic Monero — peer offers (not Instant custody) |
| P2P assets (DM) | XMR ↔ BTC, LTC, ETH, SOL, USDT (ERC-20 on Ethereum mainnet) |
| Official entry | @domestic_monero_bot |
| Support | /support on that bot only — Trade #ref + trade state |
| What this is not | A named Instant teardown; a promise of refunds; Instant-speed claim for DM |
First rule: do not make it worse
| Impulse | Why it burns |
|---|---|
| Send again to the same deposit address | Second push can strand more funds or confuse attribution |
| Pay the “top-up” amount from a cold DM that pinged you | Classic drain / social-engineering path |
| Open a second Instant order “to fix” the first | Two timers, two addresses, one panicked wallet |
| Paste seed / trade secrets into “recovery chat” | Permanent loss vector |
Stop. Screenshot the Instant status. Open your wallet’s send history. Only then talk to official Instant support with one complete packet.

Evidence packet (one message)
Write these before you touch support chat:
- Order ID from the Instant screen
- TxID of the broadcast you sent
- Asset + network you actually used (ERC-20 vs TRC-20 matters)
- Exact amount wallet shows sent vs amount the quote demanded
- Timestamps — quote expiry vs when the tx hit the mempool / first confirmation
- Refund address on the same network (if they offer return)
Ask in writing whether they can (a) settle at a current rate, (b) refund minus fees, or (c) need a top-up — and do not top up until that answer is from the official channel you opened, not a stranger DM.
Underpaid vs late vs wrong network
| Situation | Typical Instant outcome | Your move |
|---|---|---|
| Sent less than quoted (fee skimmed from amount) | Underpaid / top-up request | Confirm policy; do not guess a second send |
| Sent after Fixed window | Market-rate settle or refund path | Expired Fixed rate is usually gone |
| Sent on wrong network | Often unrecoverable at the desk | Separate from expiry; may be permanent |
| Split into multiple deposits | Attribution mess | One packet; no third send |
Wrong-network USDT is its own failure mode: Hold TRC-20 USDT, want XMR.

Why peer offers fail differently (on purpose)
Instant quotes are timer + disposable address machines. Domestic Monero peer offers are stage chips + Multisig Trade Wallet + trade share machines:
| Instant (typical) | Peer offer (DM-shaped) |
|---|---|
| Countdown Fixed/Float quote | Listed rate + limits on an offer card |
| One deposit address for that order | Stake / payment stages with visible chips |
| Late send → rate void | Stages and confirmations, not a 10-minute Fixed lock |
| Support = provider ticket | /support with Trade #ref on the official bot |
You still choose counterparties and read limits. You do not inherit Instant’s “deposit after death” pattern.
Next trade — when to open Offers instead
After this fire is contained, prefer a Domestic Monero BUY offer when you want:
- Amount and asset agreed before you broadcast
- TX hash + confirmations as the proof path
- A trade share stored offline
- No Instant countdown as the product promise

Keep Instant when minutes dominate, the desk is independently verified, and you can broadcast inside the send window with the exact amount on the named network.
Terms in this article
| Term | Meaning (public) |
|---|---|
| Expired quote | Instant Fixed/Float window ended before valid detection |
| Underpaid | On-chain amount below the order’s required deposit |
| Order ID | Instant desk reference for support |
| Trade #ref | Domestic Monero public trade reference for /support |
| Trade share | Authorization credentials for peer settlement |
FAQ
Should I send the “missing” amount immediately?
Not from panic. Confirm the ask on the official Instant channel with Order ID + TxID first.
Can Domestic Monero refund my Instant deposit?
No. Instant custody is that provider’s machine. DM support only covers DM trades with Trade #ref.
Where is Domestic Monero support?
Only /support on @domestic_monero_bot.
Open the official Mini App
When the Instant ticket is filed and you still need XMR, open Offers, pick a BUY paid in an asset you can send cleanly, and broadcast only after the offer stages say so — that is the sixty-second habit this checklist points to.
