You already got a swap quote — when to abort before you deposit

You already tapped Get quote. The screen shows a rate, a countdown, and a deposit address waiting. That is further than a SERP click — and it is still before irreversible send. This post is for that pause: when to abort the swap path without depositing, and when a structured peer offer is the cleaner exit.

Why this moment matters

Affiliate guides train: open Telegram → quote → deposit → wait. That path is a provider machine. Domestic Monero is a peer-offer machine. Confusing them after the quote is how people:

  • Lock into a custody window they did not intend
  • Discover post-deposit KYC / hold after coins move
  • Miss that a peer offer was available for the same pair

Five abort signals (after the quote, before deposit)

What “abort” looks like in practice

Abort means: close the quote, do not send, do not “top up” a partial send, do not argue with an in-bot support script. You lose nothing on-chain if you never deposited.

If the bot already showed a deposit address and a timer, treat unused addresses as dead — do not bookmark them for later.

When a peer offer is the exit

Use a structured Mini App peer offer when you want:

  • A peer on the other side of a BUY/SELL offer
  • Visible stages (Created → Staked → Payment pending → …)
  • On-chain TX hash + confirmations as payment proof
  • A trade share you keep offline

On Domestic Monero, USDT means ERC-20 on Ethereum mainnet only — not TRC-20 / BEP-20 / SPL. Wrong-chain sends do not match offers.

When finishing the swap is still rational

Keep the provider path if minutes matter, the handle is independently verified, you accept custody window + spread, and you are ready for possible compliance friction. Instant hops are a tool — not a peer board.

FAQ

Is aborting after a quote the same as cancelling a Domestic Monero trade?
No. A swap quote with no deposit is not a peer trade. Domestic Monero cancel/refund rules apply only after you are in a trade with chips and a Trade #ref.

Does Domestic Monero show a deposit-address countdown like swap bots?
No. Peer offers use stake, payment proof, and settlement stages — not a provider swap quote.

Where do I get support on Domestic Monero?
Only /support on @domestic_monero_bot with Trade #ref.
